PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
I’ve been practicing physical therapy for over 13 years, primarily in orthopedic and sports settings, and my passion for this field started long before my career — through my own experience as a patient.
Growing up, I dealt with soccer injuries in high school and college. I have also experienced recovery from two different surgeries and the daunting post-operative recovery process. This has allowed me to appreciate how much of a difference the right physical therapist can make — not just in recovery, but in motivation, confidence, and the overall experience of getting back to what you love.
That perspective has stayed with me throughout my career.
My Journey Into Physical Therapy
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in high-level orthopedic and sports environments, including the Rockets Sports Medicine Institute in Houston.
There, I continued to refine my skills — not just in treatment, but in truly understanding how to identify the root cause of an injury and manage it effectively from the start.
I’ve always valued the ability to:
- Accurately assess what’s going on
- Make clear decisions early
- Guide patients through recovery in a focused, efficient way
After years in Houston, my family and I made the decision to move to the Carolinas, looking for a lifestyle that allowed us to spend more time outdoors and build a strong sense of community with our three children.
Why I Started My Own Practice
One of the biggest reasons I created Impact Physical Therapy was to change the experience patients have with physical therapy.
Too often, I saw:
- Rushed appointments
- Generic exercise programs
- Patients being passed between providers
- Treatment focused on checklists instead of outcomes
I wanted to build something different.
A place where:
- Every session is one-on-one
- Every plan is individualized
- Patients understand how to self-manage their own aches and pains
My Approach to Care
I treat the whole person — not just the injured area.
Two people can walk in with the same pain, but for completely different reasons. That’s why I focus on identifying the true cause of the problem and tailoring treatment specifically to that.
My approach combines:
- Manual therapy
- Targeted exercise prescription
- How your body responds to load and movement
Advanced Training & Experience
I’m committed to staying current with evidence-based practice so I can provide the highest level of care to my patients.
What Drives Me
I’m passionate about helping people stay active and prevent injuries before they become long-term problems.
Whether you’re an athlete, a parent, or someone who simply wants to move better without pain — my goal is to give you the tools, understanding, and support you need to feel confident in your body again.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, exploring the greenways, and trying out new restaurants and breweries.
